Sage and White Bean Dip Recipe is an easy and healthy dip or spread for any party menu, or use it as a spread on your favorite sandwich or wrap.
It was last-minute. We threw together what we had in the pantry to make a few nibbles, whipped up a refreshing beverage and enjoyed the impromptu gathering. Spontaneous get-togethers are the best. The pressure and angst over planning and trying to make things perfect is avoided and the attention is placed more on the people than the preparation.
Just for this reason, I like to keep a few basic ingredients stocked up to be able to quickly put together a simple dip or two. But when it comes to party food, dips and spreads are not always the most healthy. This Sage and White Bean Dip Recipe is very much the exception. Made with white beans, sage, a bit of fresh lemon juice, garlic, paprika, salt and pepper this dip can be enjoyed guilt-free, especially when you serve it with fresh veggies, like carrots, broccoli, cucumbers or celery.
How to make Sage and White Bean Dip Recipe
- Add all ingredients, cannellini beans (or other white bean), garlic, olive oil, fresh lemon juice, dried sage, ground paprika, ground red pepper/cayenne, salt and ground black pepper, to a food processor or blender. Blend until smooth and full combined.
- Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve right away or cover and refrigerate up to two days until ready to serve.
As you can see, this dip couldn’t be easier to prepare. Easily blend all ingredients together using a food processor or blender until smooth, then keep refrigerated until ready to serve. Make this dip ahead of party time by a couple of days for easy entertaining. And not only is this dip delicious for dipping, but you can also use it on a sandwich, wrap, or toast as a tasty spread addition.

Notes
Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
This is a great recipe! Simple and healthy are the two keys for me and I love the flavor of sage so it is a winner. Thanks for sharing!
Have you ever tried this with fresh sage as opposed to dry? Thank you for your help!
I have not, but it should work fine. You will need to use a bit more as dried is more potent than fresh.
OMG, I think I need to adopt the nickname “the big dipper” because I’m such a huge fan of dips. This looks yummy!
Oh my, this looks so good, cream, and full of flavor.
Hot hot hot! I made this last night and the cayenne and black pepper is really overpowering! I am going to try and salvage it today with another can of beans. OR more sage?? Eek!
Do you process with or without bean liquid?
Without. I will edit the recipe to add that note.
