Visit any kitchen store and you can find an overwhelming assortment of pots, pans and paraphernalia. Usually amongst the mix, you’ll find a few gems, a few necessary items that no kitchen should do without. One of which is a good Dutch Oven.
A Dutch Oven is a heavy-duty pot with a tight fitting lid usually made of cast iron or ceramic. They conduct heat evenly and can be used in the oven or stovetop. Dutch Ovens are perfect for stewing, roasting, and braising. We regularly use one for roasting chicken, braising pork, or for savory beef roasts, just to name a few. It’s a workhorse in the kitchen that I’d surely miss if it ever ran away.Do you own a Dutch Oven or two? As a bbq guy I own and cook on them outside a lot,but would love to have this nice one for inside,I see a chicken cabanara in my future for this dutch oven………..
First would have to be Chile Verde. Then corned beef. I have enough recipes and ideas to put this Dutch oven to continuous use for the next 10 years!!
Chili! Or maybe a good beef stew.

I have a recipe saved on Pinterest that I’ve wanted to try for years, but I do not have a Dutch oven. It’s a recipe for Rosemary Olive oil bread and it sounds wonderful!

That is such a gorgeous pot and it’s my favorite color! So sweet of you to do this giveaway! So, I think the first thing I’d want to cook in a pot like this would have to be my Black Bean and Lentil Chili! It’s smokey and spicy and my family’s favorite….plus, it looks even better in a red pot! 😉

I would make my grandmother’s Italian roast. The perfect fall dish, simmered all day with garlic, onions and tomatoes and served over cheesy polenta. Break off some crusty bread and done!
I would cook a great big pot roast and have all 20 family members over for a Family Feast!
