A Recycled Garden Shed

On a recent trip to Linden Hill Gardens in Bucks County, PA, I fell head over heels for these garden sheds. The rustic buildings have such character and I think blend perfectly into a garden environment. We’ve been casually talking about building a garden shed for storage, as well as a place for potting, and other garden piddling things.
This one is my favorite.
It’s constructed of reclaimed wood, doors, and windows. Each side of the shed is different.
Each side with it’s own story.
Probably reclaimed from old homes or barns. The best form of recycling. Beyond cool.
I can imagine a similar one tucked quite nicely into our garden with vines and other plantings making it feel right at home. Of course since returning home my wheels have been turning on how to incorporate a similar shed into our landscaping. I’ve been working on persuading Randy how this would make a perfect fall/winter project (or my Christmas present).
We have a variety of salvage companies in our area. Should make for some fun shopping huh? Glad I have a truck. We’ll have to get a slab poured, and hire out for basic framing, but I think we’ll be able to handle the rest of the labor. I’ll keep you posted on the progress if it comes to fruition. I’m sure hoping it does.
Do you have any garden or landscaping plans in the works? It’s fun to hear what you have going on. There are so many creative peeps out there! Do share!

Oh, I LOVE these!!!
Oh my! Those are so amazing…someday I’d love to have one that cool.
This year I put in a kitchen garden with raised beds….still steps yet to complete but loving it so much this season.

It definitely needs a garden shed to go with 🙂
LOVE, love, love. Come on Randy!! It’ll be awesome! Perhaps it could double as a guest house? I’ll volunteer to be the first shed guest! 🙂
Gorgeous!!! I need one or two of those here on the farm.
I love these! I’m trying to recycle some old doors into a console table. I just need to find the right old metal for the legs, oh and learn how to weld of course 😉
Love all of these. Inspirational. I love the smell of a garden shed, too. 🙂
Just gorgeous. Can see one just like your favorite in my yard too. So what are the chances of you convincing your man to make it happen for you? Wish you luck!
These are really beautiful girl. Makes me want one… REALLY bad. It would be my big girl secret hideaway. 🙂
I loved all those old sheds at Linden Hills. I can’t wait to see how your own reclaimed shed turns out.
This is the cutest idea, I love it. We use to make things from reclaimed wood when I was a kid, but little stuff like chicken coupes.
I love this! So cool, would love to have one 🙂
Beautiful beautiful beautiful!! I would say a new project indeed.
My sister made her chicken coop from all things recycled. She’s crafty like that : )
The pictures and array of flowers are beautiful.I visited that area of PA a few years ago and it is so beautiful. I really like the sheds. I am limited to what I can grow in FL but I have beautiful roses and flowers that can tolerate the heat and drought, although I water as necessary.
So beautiful and peaceful. I’d love to come home to that!
I love these too…now if I could just find a Randy to help me! I do all of my own landscaping; have put in my own water feature and created a huge perennial garden to replace half of the grass. But as much as I might feel compelled, I have yet to take on a garden structure project like this alone. I would hate for my kids to come over and find me stuck under a side of the shed!
Just LOVED those sheds at Linden Hill. Great photos, Amy! I would kill for my own –our current shed is ghastly, plastic, I think. I can’t wait to rip it apart.
I love that little shed…and that each side looks different is even better. I’ve been wanting a shed in our back yard for quite some time. Sounds like a great new project for the hubby!
Love this!! Wish I coul have one too!
Love these..I wish we had something like that in my backyard.
Oh lord what I wouldn’t give to have enough land to put one or more of those on the property. They are so beautiful.
