Try this easy and flavorful Black Bean and Corn Salsa. It’s perfect for your next cookout to serve with chips or as a condiment over grilled chicken or barbecue.
Anytime is the perfect time for making salsas like Tomatillo Salsa, fruity Strawberry Salsa or this totally satisfying and hearty Black Bean and Corn Salsa. This Black Bean and Corn Salsa is easy to make and even easier to devour. It’s such a tasty, colorful and healthy salsa to add to add to the table.
I always enjoy black beans and corn together. The combination of hearty black beans, sweet corn, and diced tomatoes in this salsa combine with a cast of other flavor-packed ingredients to create the perfect salsa to serve as an appetizer or alongside grilled chicken, ribs or pork. Or, better yet, try it atop a baked potato, green salad, or wrapped in a soft tortilla as a meal! What an easy meal that would be, especially for packing to take along in a lunch box. It’s an easy dish to pack and take along for so many occasions.
This Black Bean and Corn Salsa is even more awesome, because you can stock most of the ingredients year round and be ready to make it at the drop of a hat. If guests show up unexpectedly, this salsa can be put together quickly for a healthy and tasty bite that they’ll all enjoy. If you’re planning for a get together, make this salsa ahead of time and keep refrigerated until ready to serve for that next tailgate party, picnic, or cookout.
As I said before, this recipe is so easy. There’s minimal chopping involved, and all ingredients are just mixed together in a bowl and refrigerated until ready to serve. I do so much enjoy quick recipes like this one that don’t involve an oven or stove, don’t you?
I think you’ll enjoy this tasty and healthy salsa at your next gathering.

Oh how I love a hearty salsa! I could eat this for a meal!
I’m with Katrina…..I could make this a meal!! looks fabulous Amy!
I love black beans, so this salsa is perfect for me! So bright and pretty 🙂
Great and easy salsa, emphasis on easy! I see lots of recipes online, but if it’s not easy, there’s no way I’ll be able to actually deliver the goods, especially trying to watch two little kids!
This salsa looks tasty and is totally what I’m bringing to this weeks potluck….thanks =)
Looks fantastic Amy! Give me a spoon!
I was obsessed with Corn and Black Bean salsa last year, this recipe makes me want to reignite that love affair!
Looks amazing. I have a similar recipe and you really cannot go wrong when you serve this. Accompanies grilled fish really well also.
How can I make this with fresh tomatoes instead? Do I have to blanch, peel, and seed them?
Yes you can, Amy. Just dice them up and use them fresh.
Is chile pepper cayenne?
You can use either in this recipe.
Served on my way home and its very good.
The perfect summer salsa! Yummy!
I’m a he by the way!!! LOL men like to cook too
I could eat this as a salad!!! What is the caloric count per serving and is canned tomatoes prefered over fresh? Whats healthier?
I do not have the calorie count, Emily. Fresh tomatoes are fine to use for this if that is what you prefer.
Anyone know if this recipe can be canned by steam or water bath? If so is canning time 15 minutes? Looking to try a new salsa recipe this year. Don’t want a real thick or real thin salsa.
Thank you,
Gal in Iowa
Anyone know if you can steam or water BATH can this salsa? If so is it 15 minutes? I need to find couple new recipes. Mom does not want a runny salsa or a thick salsa either. Some recipes call for lots of tomatoes paste as a thicker. Mom does not like much of that in her salsa.
Anyone have tips I’d appreciate them.
Thanks.
I just made this and cannot wait for the flavors to marry!!
A good basic especially if fresh ingredients are limited- I added garlic, jalapeño, and a bit more salt. Thanks!
