So many gorgeous fig recipes have caught my eye. Here’s a roundup of some of those.

Fig Recipe Roundup

Figs are so enticing. Their color and subtle flavor meld so well with so many ingredients, both sweet and savory. Served simply with a drizzle of honey, or an elaborate tart, figs please both the eye and the palate.

Not only are figs a feast for the eyes, and tastebuds, but nutritionally beneficial too. In addition to a good source of fiber and potassium, a quick online search will show you many other health benefits of the fig. ‘Oh bring me some figgy…’

For years I’ve been wanting to plant a fig tree, but have been noncommittal to the abundant crop that may follow. Of course, after seeing so many tempting fig recipes, once again I find myself contemplating the addition of a fig tree this fall.

While I’m not sharing my own fig recipe today, check out these gorgeous fig recipes that have caught my attention:

Roasted Fig Greek Yogurt and Chai Spiced Sorghum Parfait Recipe from Jeanettes Healthy Living

Roasted Fig & Walnut Parfait from The Roasted Root

Honeyed Fig Trifle with Goat Cheese Mascarpone Yogurt Cream from Kitchen Confidante

Maybe this year I’ll commit to the fig. There are certainly plenty of places to find inspiration for how to use them if we do end up with our own crop.

A sweet friend gave me a bag of figs this week. That’s a true friend! I’ve eaten nearly all of them, though. I’ll have to see if she’ll share some more before I can try a recipe or two. As much as I love them, I should have planted a tree a long time ago.
