Next month I’m heading to Kohler, Wisconsin. Yep, I’ve never been to Wisconsin before. I’m quite tickled to say the least. I’ve been invited by Kohler to attend the 13th Annual Kohler Food and Wine Experience, along with a group of other food writers. We’ll be attending a variety of food and wine events at the Village of Kohler, as well as exploring the Kohler Design Center, The American Club, and the Kohler Waters Spa.
Other than the Kohler bath and kitchen fixtures, I’d never heard of the Kohler Food and Wine Experience, which rivals the best food and wine festivals from across the nation, until my friend, Sommer told me all about it. After checking out the lineup of cooking demonstrations, wine tasting, and chocolate tasting events, The American Club, Kohler Waters Spa (oh my word!), and The Shops at Woodlake Kohler, I’m starting to get very excited about packing my bags and heading north in a few weeks.
It looks like a wonderful destination if you’re planning a last-minute getaway for October, or if you live within driving distance to be able to take off for a few days and enjoy some great food and wine. Can’t make it happen this year? I’d encourage you to check it out anyway. Maybe you’ll be able to plan ahead for attending next year’s event?
Be sure to view the lineup of renowned chefs that will be in attendance, as well as the full schedule of tasty events throughout the 4-day event. Many of the events are complimentary including food and wine samplings, book signings, and more.
You’ll find the full details, including ticket purchasing information and other information about the event over at the Kohler Food and Wine Experience site, but here are a few helpful links for the 13th Annual Kohler Food and Wine Experience:

I’ll be reporting back after I return, so be on the lookout here at She Wears Many Hats for an update.
I hope to see you in Kohler!

I can’t wait Amy! We are going to have an amazing time. 🙂
How Fun! I know you’ll have a blast!
I love wisconsin in the fall! Have a great time, it sounds like an amazing event!
This looks like the best time! Enjoy it and I can’t wait to hear all about it!
Oh, yes! Looks fabulous Amy!
You are going to love it! I am from Wisconsin and although have moved away each time I visit I make a trip to Kohler and the design center! The spa is fabulous, the Kohler chocolates are to die for and the American Club is filled with old world charm and beautiful grounds.
In fact I was married here that is how much I love it!
If you have time visit the Kohler art museum in nearby Sheboygan, its free and is filled with amazing pieces from talented artists. In addition, make sure that when you visit the design center that you take in the exhibits on the lower level, the history of the company is fascinating as is the information about the “artists in residence”
The Kohler cafe/chocolate center is filled with delitable treats and is just down the way from an excellent Italian restaurant as well as the Baker furniture outlet and the Ann Sachs tile store.
Oh and one more thing, there are some excellent restaurants in Sheboygan one is an Italian with a store and a cafe attached, sorry I cannot remember the name.
If you have time either in or out of Milwaukee check out the beautiful Pfister Hotel for drinks, visit the Calatrava at the Milwaukee art museum, and the shores of Lake Michigan.
So excited to spend time with you there! This is going to be amazing!! 🙂
Ohmygosh that looks like such an amazing time! Some year I hope to get out there for it!
