In a few hours a group of teenage girls will descend on our home, with baking holiday desserts on their mind. My daughter is having a few friends over for some Christmas baking fun. It seems they’ve graduated from their Easy-Bake Ovens to the real thing, and I’m totally tickled about that. I’m happy to retreat to the next room to finish up some wrapping and other trimmings before I get to major cooking later this evening. But rest assured, I’ll only be a few steps away if help, or more likely, taste testing is needed. I’m real good at taste testing y’all.
If you’re baking up a storm too, I’ve rounded up a few of my favorites that I’ve enjoyed over the past couple of years. Just click on each photo below, and it’ll take you to the individual recipe page. There is also a list with links below the image.

Isn’t it fun to see them grow up and want to get together and bake! I love it! Oh, and I’m a mighty good taste-tester, too. I think they should update those tests you take in high school that determine your aptitude to include taste-testing. I’d totally ace that part! 🙂
I can’t WAIT until my daughter can do a share of the holiday baking. 🙂
She does pretty well now, but still needs lots of assistance.
What a fun time for the girls! Love the look of all the goodies you’ve shared!
Too many good ones to choose from. 🙂
One word. Yum.
Wonderful selection of holiday cookies! Wishing you and your family a happy holiday season and a fun-filled new year!
Everything looks so yummy! I don’t know where to start!
I grew up baking with my mom. She had me up on a chair next to her at the counter rolling, cutting and icing since I can remember. Now that she’s gone I use baking as a way to remember her and all of the great times we had in the kitchen.
Looks like eatable Chritsmas spirit. Thanks and happy holidays.
