May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun
And find your shoulder to light on,
To bring you luck, happiness and riches
Today, tomorrow and beyond.

I’m not a butterfly expert or anything, I just wanted to share these lovely creatures with you, my friends.
They’re all all over our yard right now. Just this morning I flitted around in my pajamas chasing them.
There were at least five types of beauties fluttering about, teasing me in my bare feet as I tried to blend in to the flora.
What a lovely way to start the day.
Hope you have a beautiful day. And make sure to take time to chase some butterflies.
Beautiful! They’re so elusive. We were at the zoo last week and I tried to get shots of a few of these beauties. Tough work.
Oh, they’re so beautiful. I love photography because it’s like the art of catching and chasing things – the other day I was running around trying to “chase” the sun. It was a lot of fun.
Beautiful, Amy. We’re celebrating my son’s 19th birthday with a fish fry today at my parents’ home. I anticipate a very hot, yet fun day. Thanks.
Gorgeous shots Amy and I love the Irish blessing 🙂 Have a great weekend!
Such pretty pictures and subjects!
What a neat way to kick off the weekned!
I agree – lovely start to a day. My mom works at a butterfly sanctuary and my dad is obsessed with butterfly photography. No wonder! So beautiful.
…and may the wind be always at your back as you chase more things for more beautiful and stunning photographs to share. Thank you.
So pretty! I love butterflies.
Beautiful photos, Amy. Great reminder to stop and enjoy the little things.
A wonderful sentiment to appreciate the small things and to take time to notice the beauty all around us.
Thank you.
Hi Amy. Some of my favourite pictures are of my kids with butterflies BUT i just realised they were taken 3 years ago AND the kids have grown too much since then!…so your message of make sure you take time to chase butterflies is a timely reminder. cheers kari
Simply beautiful! What lens are you using?
These photos are amazing! However did you capture them so beautifully?
Thanks for reminding me to go out and look for these gorgeous butterflies.

So pretty! we don’t have that many butterflies around our place
Plant butterfly bushes in your yard. We now have 5 –they are beautiful bushes and the deer won’t eat them…..just got 2 more at Hendersons in Rosman, N.C.
Love those photos! Beautiful shots. Wish I could have gotten a photo of you chasing them in your pjs so I could bribe you one day when you are rich and famous :-).
Amy, you have such a gift! These are gorgeous. Yep, I can totally picture you chasing these butterflies in your pjs.
Just love ya!

Like the smell of a garden rose, butterflies are free. I consider both blessings from God that call us to walk in the garden and know we are never alone for He walks with us. Thanks, Amy, for a the beautiful pictures.
WOW – how beautiful!
This is the post you need to come back to in a couple of months when it’s cold, grey, and snowy (if you live somewhere that gets that way). These gorgeous summer photos will brighten up your day (and give you a wicked case of Spring fever maybe). Beautiful!
