Thank you for visiting. This giveaway has ended.
Last September I had one of my first giveaways here on She Wears Many Hats. It was for one of these hand drawn nests. Since I’m already thinking of spring and warmer weather, I thought about giving away some more. And while I’d like to be able to give everyone one of these (my eyes just couldn’t take it!) 2 winners will be chosen.
Each drawing is an original – different from the next – drawn by hand in pen and ink. The drawing itself is fairly small, about 2×3.” While they’re certainly no masterpiece, I’ve enjoyed drawing them for family and friends and would love to send one your way. The number of eggs can represent the number of chicks (children) you have in your nest. They make a great gift for any mother, grandmother or anyone who likes birds nests.
Two (2) randomly selected winners will be chosen. Each drawing will be customized to the number of eggs requested. The drawings will be matted but not framed. (Keep in mind that a nest can only hold so many eggs. The maximum I’ve drawn so far are 7 eggs in a nest.)
To enter tell me how many eggs you’d like in your nest if you win and answer this question…
First thing come spring, what will you do to freshen up your nest?
Will you be painting a room? Choosing new drapes or pillows? Or is spring cleaning enough to get you all fluffed and ready for a new season?
I’m already thinking of ways to spruce things up around here. (Don’t tell my hubby though.)
Deadline for entering will be Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Midnight PST. Winners will be announced on Monday, January 25 as soon as I get around to posting it – I’ll hurry as fast as I can. Promise.
~ Don’t forget to tell me how many eggs you’d like in your nest.
Have a great day!
Open the windows, take down the drapes, wash the blinds, change the throw pillows and plant flowers! (Only one egg here.)
Hosing down and scrubbing the screen porch, cleaning the patio furniture, and washing all the cushion covers is a “MUST do first” for spring. It is so wonderful to sit outside on the glider and read, or watch the children play in the backyard, or entertain outside…It’s especially nice when it is fresh and “magazine photo shoot” clean!!
Spring is also when I dream of a new garage with an art studio inside! (I dream that every year…one day!)
I would love 4 eggs in my nest, please 🙂
Your nest drawing is adorable!
So so very pretty! I have 3 eggs in my nest ; )
Spring cleaning in the yard as well in the house is always on my to do list in the spring. Looking forward to spring. As you know it has been a very cold winter in SC this year. Would love my nest to have 3 eggs. I have the perfect spot in my house for that nest. 🙂
Like others, I would start the Spring Cleaning with windows, to let all that wonderful sunshine in! 2 eggs would fit for us. Thanks.
Hi Sister,
Last weekend was spent cleaning out all that old plant material from my flower bed. It’s sad in a way to throw the dried flowers in the burn pile, but so refreshing to think of the spring to come. God is good -always renewing things.
I already have one of your awesome nest gracing my humble abode, but I’d love one to give to my dear friend Michelle who has four little ones now.

God has blessed us ’til our “storehouses are overflowing!” Time to clean out the good for the better. Not an easy task for a pack-rat like me. 😉
If I could request, I’d like 4 whole eggs and one broken eggshell for the one that left the nest…
Thanks!
(And thanks to Carole for posting your website, too!)
My list is so ridiculously long, I really don’t know where to start…let’s see, we need to sand and paint our porch, paint ALL the trim on our ENTIRE house 🙁 (anyone know a good painter in Columbia?), paint my bedroom, paint my bathroom, and that’s just the beginning! When is Spring? Uggh. I got a lot to do…
Oh, by the way, I still only have 2 eggs. Pretty sure that won’t change… 🙂 I LOVE this drawing, Amy! I told Carole years ago I was gonna swipe hers, but then that’d make me have to add an egg…
Thanks for the chance! Laura
YEAH these are so cute!!! This spring, we will be landscaping and planting grass. We moved into a new house, at the end of November and it is MUDDY!!!! i can’t wait to see green again!
Hi Amy!
This is such a special drawing. The simplies forms filled in by the imagination can provide the most beautiful contemplative visions for us.
If I had such a drawing, I’d like to have 4 in my nest and maybe the barely distinguishable shawdow of a 5th who has left the next symboling my adult son. If that isn’t possible, then 5 eggs would be fine.
To spruce up my nest, I am going to take all my winter eBay stuff and fold it and neatly store it in 5 tubs for next year. Then I’ll clean out the huge storage place under my stairs (without straining my back or giving into the cramps I get from foldingup like a pretzel to get under there). I’ll then place the winter things in the back, along with the Christmas tree that still doesn’t want to say good-bye and I’ll put the rest back in there in what I will imagine to be an organzied way. We’ll see. I’ll then give the kids their summer clothing and have them pack their winter stuff. I’ll them remember I shouldn’t have put everything back until the kids winter stuff was packed. Taking out all the stuff in the front and middle of the storage under the stairs (again without straining my back or giving into the cramps of being a pretzel) and put their things in the back, and repack the whole thing again. Hmmm….I really need to tdo this. I sure wish I had some help. LOL.
My first goal every Spring is to till the garden in preparation for the planting and in anticipation for the harvest come summertime. My sister gave me a compost bin that I can’t wait to set up. There is something about planting and watching the veggies grow that brings me a step closer in my walk with the Lord. It is His creation just as our children are his creation and our precious gift. My little nest of four has grown beyond anything I deserve.
3 eggs please 🙂
My nest is fairly new so for the most part it is spruced. BUT the yard is a work in progress somewhat so my first order is to do some more planting in my large flower bed- we just put 3 magnolia trees in but now to dress them!
2 eggs for me- one for hubby and me
Enjoyed visiting your blog. Adorable!! I am having a give away on my blog too!
2 eggs for me since our kiddos have flown the coop!

3 eggs, please. I’m in the mist of sprucing up my closet. I’ve organized my shoes and given some questionable purchases to Goodwill. Now, I’m ironing all of my clothes and organizing them by color.
Oh, most definitely painting the master bedroom and bath! Not even waiting for Spring to get started…doing it this very weekend. And, I’d need just two-egg nest these days. Or maybe six if I counted the kids and grands…
Our nest is empty now, but two have flown to build nests of their own.
We now have a total of 5 baby birds in out of state nests.
A general spring cleaning will be all we need to get ready for warm weather.
5 eggs for our 5 grandchicks.
Spring cleaning would include… going to the beach and cleaning out my cluttered mind 🙂 I would love to give a nest to my brother who is 40 and just now having his first baby ;0) Will wonders ever cease 😉 I will pay you for one if I don’t win : )))))
I want to put all my eggs in one basket(nest)! I only want 2 cause it’s just me and the hub, thats the way it has always been, and thats the way it will always be!Just me and him…I would love one of these drawings..we have a new home(want need to spring clean much) and this needs to be on my new walls.
6 eggs. I’d love to give this to my mother. She is a widow now and is very lonely. Her family was her life and now that we’re grown and gone, and even Dad is not with her, she likes nothing more than to feed the birds on her back patio and visit with her children and grandchildren.
