Now, this sauce might be a little geo-politically controversial, but I’ll try to tread carefully. As you might know, we southerners are quite passionate about barbecue, and here in the Carolinas, the sauce preferences fall in about three different camps: mustard, tomato, and vinegar based. Mustard-based is the favorite in South Carolina where I and my kids grew up, so it takes the cake (or barbecue) in this house. This easy Carolina Style BBQ Dipping Sauce is the perfect partner with pigs in a blanket or pulled pork BBQ sliders.
A little secret, we’re a tad addicted to sweet potato fries. And a tangy dip, like this Garlicky Herb Mustard, takes the fries over the top.
Garlic and parsley add that perfect savory and herbal flavor that compliments the tang of French’s® Classic Yellow Mustard. I love it on fries, but try it with veggies or spread on bruschetta for a nice appetizer too.
I’m kind of a big dill … a big dill person! Man I love me some dill in a sauce or garnish. This Creamy Dill Mustard Dipping Sauce (or spread) showcases the fabulous herb with tangy French’s® Classic Yellow Mustard, combined with a mayonnaise base.
Creamy Dill Mustard Dipping Sauce is the perfect as dip for crunchy veggies, a tasty spread for sandwiches, or even as a flavorful topping for chicken or fish.
Lastly, everybody knows the key to a good pasta salad is a nice, flavorful dressing. With a little lemon juice and herbs, this Zesty Citrusy Mustard Dressing is perfect for your summertime pasta salad.
I especially love it for a pasta salad loaded with fresh veggies, like asparagus and tomato.
I hope you enjoy these easy recipes as much as we have. Happy entertaining and don’t forget to keep a bottle of French’s® Classic Yellow Mustard on hand to bring tangy zest to dips, sauces, dressing and marinades to add to all of your summer menus.

Amy, how did you know? LOL! I am really into dipping sauces and dressings these days. Our family entertaining begins with our “Meat Fest” and homemade water park for the grand-kids on that day, and continues with my birthday on June 14th, and then culminates on July the fourth. So I have been treating the family with new culinary adventures. Can’t wait to try them all!
Yum–these sound delicious!!
Hmmm yum, i really love them all! I could have been a southern girl in a previous life or so cos i really looooooove all southern recipes! I’m a real Dutch girl, born and raised but those Dutch recipes……i eat them whole my life! They’re delicious though but i liked to eat something different, like i’ve never eaten be4. That’s why i’m looking at your blog and a few others too, but you’re the only southern girl and your recipes speak the most to me! So Thank you for your great and delicious recipes. And it may happen that we don’t have all ingredients here, there are good replacements or i make them myself. That’s also why i ask many questions, but now i only have compliment for you. Till next time Amy.
