.Here’s an interesting addition to your garden… Cleome, otherwise known as the Spider flower. Sporting flowers in white, pink and fushia, Cleome has a wild, crazy, spidery look (thus the name). It can certainly add a fun, fluttery, texture to an otherwise dull flower bed.
Several years ago we began growing Cleome when a friend passed along some seeds. And man, you better like it, ’cause it’ll grow. Even though it’s an annual, Cleome re-seeds, multiplies, and in the right environment, will flourish for many years to come.
Right now is a great time to hunt for a good spot to plant Cleome in the spring.
Happy planting planning!
I’ve never liked spiders but this pretty little spider is another story. I’m going to have to add her to my dull and boring landscape… it could use a little wild and crazy!
Save me some seed, Plz. I’ll swap money plant seed.
I’ve never even seen that before, its so pretty!
Wait a minute- have you only had your blog since July?! Who did your site design?
