Something New : Silent Sundays
Sundays are a special day of the week for so many reasons. It’s a a day to reflect on the past week, and prepare for the coming week, a day to fellowship with family or friends, and for most of us, it’s a day to rest, a day to chill, to be still, to be quiet. I do love Sundays, don’t you?
There are so many times I don’t have much to say, but I still want to share something with you. Maybe it’s just a pretty photo, a verse, a poem, or possibly something I’ve recently discovered on the internets. So for those moments, I’m starting a new series (I hate the word “series,” it means consistency and I’m so not into being consistent) called Silent Sunday. It will not be every single Sunday, but if I happen to find something I’d like to share, that needs no explanation or I have little say about it, I will share it right here on a Sunday.
I hope you enjoy it. I’m thinking it will be fun for me too. And if you find anything inspirational during your week that would make for a great Silent Sunday edition, please send it along my way. I love hearing from you—my many fellow hat wearers!
While you’re here, this week I’ve started a new email update for email subscribers using MailChimp (this is a week of a bunch of new things around here!). If you have trouble with your email update—if it looks wonky, or you don’t understand it—please don’t hesitate to let me know. It’s supposed to make things much easier (and a little prettier) for you. Not more difficult. So if something is wrong or if something could be done better, I sure do want to hear about it. Please feel free to send me a quick email through my contact page or reply directly to the email update.
Also, there is a new feature that lets you share directly from the email update to others. Which makes it easy if a delicious recipe comes through that you know your neighbor would love to see. Share the love (or the cookie recipes)! And if you haven’t subscribed to email updates, it’s easy to do. Look at the top of this site or at the very bottom for the subscribe box. Again, please let me know if you have any trouble subscribing.
Before you go, I wanted to thank you for joining me on this fun and wild ride. I love wearing many hats, and I hope you do too! It certainly never gets boring, does it?
Have a lovely week, and I encourage you to try on a new hat. Please let me know if you do! xoxo
