This winter has been a doozy! I think the extreme weather has left many of us longing for comfort food of all kinds. I know that’s all we have been craving lately. One of the things I like about comfort food, other than the familiarity, is the easy prep of many of the dishes. Most comfort food can be made ahead then kept warming or easily reheat before serving. It would not be very comforting if it kept the cook in the kitchen slaving over the stove, now would it?One of the tools that make comfort food even that much easier is a good dependable slow cooker along with some tried and true slow cooker recipes. So to spread a bit of comfort I’m giving away a fantastic Hamilton Beach Set ‘n Forget 6-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker in Silver, along with two slow cooker cookbooks from The Editors at America’s Test Kitchen: Slow Cooker Revolution and Slow Cooker Revolution Volume 2. You can always depend on America’s Test Kitchen for tasty and tested recipes and with the combination of these two cookbooks one winner will have 400 slow cooker recipes to choose from. That’s a lot of slow cooking!
