New Favorite Mascara

You may remember that I’ve shared mascara with you before, but guess what? I’ve found a new favorite mascara.
This mascara from Make Up For Ever was actually a trial size that I received as a bonus with a purchase from Sephora. Those trial sizes are just perfect for travel or for trying something new. Otherwise, being a creature of habit, I would never stray from my go-to favorites, until they get discontinued. Thank goodness for the trial sizes.
Randy is sitting next to me as I write and just asked me if mascara was what you rub all over your face. Needless to say, I’m not married to a metrosexual. Dude.
Back to the regularly scheduled programming …
This Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara really is a fabulous mascara. It’s long-lasting and creates thick, butterfly-ish looking lashes. I’m not up on the latest beauty lingo. “Butterfly-ish” came to mind, and it’s late, so I’m going with it.
I’m no expert (duh), but I think the cone-shaped applicator wand thingy may have more to do with the finished look than anything. That’s my guess anyway. But I don’t make cosmetics so maybe there is something magical with the actual mascara itself. Who knows?
I will say my daughter didn’t care for the applicator, but honestly, she doesn’t know how to apply mascara the right way. She does some weird twisty turning thing, and remember, I’m no expert, but that is just not how you’re supposed to apply mascara. You jiggle and wiggle it starting at the base of the lashes and swipe it up to the tip, over and over. But does she listen to me? Nooooo. No she doesn’t. So she misses out on the butterfly-ish lashes.
Anyway, I like it. A lot. If you can get your hands on a trial size of this Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant Mascara, I think it’s definitely worth giving it a go, or if you’re looking for a new mascara or fabulous butterfly-ish lashes try it out, and let me know how you like it!

With my next to nothing eyelashes, I am always looking for a mascara that will give me something that resembles an eyelash. Butterflyish sounds dreamy. You should post a picture of your lashes – before and after. 😉
Oh my word … I can’t imagine—crows feet and all! Maybe I’ll get up the nerve and do that so you can see, and maybe compare it to another mascara too. I’m chicken. 😉

Well, I’m not sure if I’m reliable. 😉 But I do like butterflies and pretty lashes.
With my next to nothing eyelashes and fear of using falsies, the mascara from Younique has been a lifesaver for me. It does take some getting used to though.
