When I began this site, my main reason was as a creative push for me to regularly make pictures, from the daily, the mundane, what we’re eating, silly observations, to bugs, flowers, places we visit…whatever caught my eye. But somewhere along the way, I lost sight of that. Recently I realized that I’ve been making fewer pictures of what I wanted to, or what inspires, and instead only taking pictures of what I needed, or felt I had to for one reason or another, whether it be a professional commitment, or some burden I had placed on myself.
So, in an effort to get back to the reason I started this online journey, I’m inviting you to join me for a weekly photo party of sorts that will be called Share the Shot. I think it will spark me on to be more intentional about picking up my camera and taking time to make pictures for fun again. I hope it will do the same for you. Plus, it will be even more better knowing we’re doing it together.
