With the Super Bowl right around the corner I’m taking time to plan ahead for our menu. Usually I tend to wait until the last minute which results in unhealthy choices. So, this year, with a bit of thought, I’m going for a touchdown with a lineup of healthier, but not tasteless, selections.

When Pepperidge Farm® contacted me about trying their new Baked Naturals® Cracker Chips as part of a game day menu challenge, it encouraged me even more to plan creatively, so we can tastefully enjoy the game without totally fumbling in the fat department.

Pepperidge Farm® sent me a variety of the new Baked Naturals® Cracker Chips to try, including Simply Multi-Grain, and two new flavors, Simply Potato, and Cheddar & Sour Cream Potato. I’m really liking the Cheddar & Sour Cream Potato. They’re light and crispy. And because they’re baked and never fried, they’re lower in fat per serving than the leading potato chip – 50% less fat! 50%! See that small wooden bowl shown above filled with the Cheddar & Sour Cream Potato? That’s not even a whole serving size, so you get a good portion per serving size. And that’s a good thing when you’ve got the munchies.

Next week I’ll be posting my final menu selection, along with some handy tips for making healthy snacking choices, but would really like to hear from you now as I’m still planning myself.

Do you have any great tasting and lower-fat game-time favorites?
What about ideas and tips for making good snacking decisions?
Do you have creative decorating ideas for the big game?

Do share. I so much enjoy hearing ideas from everyone!

I am being compensated by Pepperidge Farm® for my time and materials used in the Pepperidge Farm® Baked Naturals® Cracker Chips menu challenge.
