The Caribbean Islands are a well-known travel destination throughout the year. A tropical paradise full of delicious treats you’ll not soon forget.

The Islands boast gorgeous beaches,  fabulous scuba diving, excellent fishing, and some of the friendliest locals you’ll ever meet.

If treasure peaks your interest, be sure to visit Blackbeard’s Castle for tales of the pirates adventures. While your there,  head on over to The Rum Factory to watch this delicious drink being produced right in front of you.

You’ll want to be sure to enjoy the taste-testing offered. Don’t be shy, now. They like for you to finish your cup. There’s no such thing as wasting rum around here. I guess most folks can’t tell from just that first sip whether it’s the one they want or not.

Luckily, that wasn’t the case for me. I knew I loved their coconut rum better than all the rest – and the rest were mighty delicious.

When the bottles we’d ordered arrived home, I couldn’t wait to make a tropical dessert with it.

Head on over to Things to Cook to get the recipe for my simple, take me back to the tropics, Caramelized Bananas with Coconut Rum Cream recipe. It’s delightful and super easy!
