Is there a stack of Christmas cards you’ve received that you don’t know what to do with? Here’s a simple idea I started using a few years ago after seeing them stack up on my desk and not really enjoying the glad tidings people had spent time sending along our way.
I purchased a small pencil Christmas tree on deep discount at an after holiday sale for a small nook in our family room. It added a little something to an awkward, bare spot during the holidays.
It also offered a place to display those cards.
With a simple hole punch, scissors, and ribbon, I turned a plain tree into a display, filled with greetings from family and friends, that I quite enjoy walking by several times a day.
You could even use a tree branch, painted or not, secured in a planter for the same purpose. Maybe you already have a little tree you can use for this exact purpose? If not, keep your eyes peeled at those after Christmas sales, and you can look forward to displaying those glad tiding next year.
So, do you have another creative way to display those greeting cards. Care to share ‘em?
Creative solutions rock!
